Rick Doblin, PhD
Dr. Rick Doblin is the founder and executive director of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), a non-profit research organization established in 1986. His professional goal is to help develop legal contexts for the beneficial uses of psychedelics and cannabis, primarily as prescription medicines. In addition to sponsoring scientific research, MAPS organizes continuing medical education conferences, sponsors and gives lectures and seminars on the state of psychedelic and medical cannabis research, and publishes a quarterly bulletin.
Marc Donsky, PhD
Dr. Marc Donsky brings with him approximately twenty years of natural products research and education experience and is currently the director of research for Irish Canadian Bioresearch, a company responsible for the integration and development of natural product research and production projects.
Marvin Hausman, MD
Dr. Marvin Hausman is a board certified Urologist with residencies at Mt. Sinai New York and UCLA Medical Centers who has more than 30 years of clinical and pharmaceutical development experience. Dr. Hausman has worked with a number of pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers International, Mead-Johnson Pharmaceutical Co., and E.R. Squibb and has held CEO positions at numerous successful life sciences companies including Axonyx and Medco Research. At Entia, Marvin has assembled his own robust scientific advisory board to further guide Entia's natural products research.
Gitte Jensen, PhD
Dr. Gitte Jensen is the research director at NIS Labs, a contract research laboratory that focuses on efficient and practical approaches to natural products research, where she focuses on R&D and clinical trial development. With over 30 years of experience in establishing and executing strategic research for biological sciences and the natural products industry, Gitte is a hands-on scientist with a background in immunology, cell biology, physiology, and cancer research.
Christian Le, MD
Dr. Christian Le has served the public as a physician for over fifteen years as well as serving as a consultant and medical director. A member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians and contributor to Project CBD, Dr. Le maintains a busy practice, Green Earth Medicine, which is dedicated to providing integrative medical services, education, and alternative medical treatments and consultations. Christian is actively engaged in research and clinical studies as a means of determining the efficacy and value of Cannabis for the treatment of serious medical conditions.
Gerry Lehrburger, MD
A practicing emergency medicine physician, Dr. Gerry Lehrburger, has dedicated himself to medical service and education for more than thirty five years. Identifying Nature's invaluable contribution to total human potential and health, Gerry founded Health Research Institute in 1983 to explore plant medicine and human nutrition. Throughout his career, Gerry worked closely with bioregional and state agencies to establish needed social services and a host of integrative disciplines, including the Southern Oregon Poison Center, Emergency Medical Services, the Ashland Institute of Massage, midwifery, doula education and research, compassionate care at end of life, and medical cannabis. Having served multiple medical director and educator roles, Dr. Lehrburger offers a diversity of experience and skill sets to HRI.
Anthony Smith, PhD
Dr. Anthony Smith is a classically trained molecular biology biochemist with experience and leadership in the biotechnology sector, R&D, manufacturing, and communication. Anthony also has applied experience in business, manufacturing, analytics, clinical research, regulatory compliance, metabolic biochemistry, molecular biology, and signal transduction. Dr. Smith founded Kenevir Research Labs in 2013 with the idea of providing high quality validated analytical results to Oregon's marijuana industry. He brings with him over 15 years of natural product research, quality assurance, product development, GMP manufacturing, FDA & regulatory experience and analytical expertise to HRI.
Kevin Spelman, PhD
Dr. Kevin Spelman is an active research scientist and natural products consultant whose work includes designing and implementing human clinical trails. Kevin has collaborated with such groups as the National Institutes of Health and the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicines. He possesses over two decades of experience as a clinical phytotherapist.

Located in Southern Oregon, Kenevir Research is a calibrated analytical laboratory dedicated to natural products research and development. Currently focusing on Cannabis analysis and R&D, Kenevir provides expertise and laboratory services to Southern Oregon's medical marijuana community.
